Well, this is embarrassing.

Well, it turns out it’s been over 4 years since I last wrote a blog post. Whoops. Pretty much the entire time I’ve been occasionally telling myself “Oh yeah, I should start writing blog posts again.”

Well, here we go. Yet another “I’m still alive” post. If you’re wondering what I’ve been doing, I recommend taking a look at the title of the site. After realizing I didn’t have enough savings to try to launch a product I took another job which ended up taking up all of my time and nearly killing myself with stress. After about a year at that job, I quit to join a small startup called Whoosh Traffic. A bit more than a year later, a while after “graduating” from the first Techstars Austin class, Whoosh Traffic failed and just as I was about to miss a paycheck, OwnLocal acquired Whoosh and I was brought on to help integrate the Whoosh software into OwnLocal’s stack.

OwnLocal encourages a healthy work-life balance, and so I’ve actually started to have some amount of free time for the first time in years and I’ve started to want to actually use that free time for personal projects again instead of just playing video games (hey, it’s not called “Definitely Programming”), including this blog.

As with most things, the hardest part for me is just getting started, so here I go…
